I translated the lyrics this before knowing the existence of this article. It offers a more literal translation:

鞏金甌﹐
     承天幬﹐
民物欣鳧藻﹐
喜同袍﹐
清時幸遭﹐
真熙皡¹﹐
帝國蒼穹保﹐
天高高﹐
海滔滔。
The Cup of Solid Gold,
     With a heavenly cover.
People have objects, so are as happy as ducks have waterweed.
Joyful ones are intimate.
Lucky experiences occur during the Qing Dynasty,
Truly prosperous and brilliant.
The Heaven protects the Empire.
The heaven is high above.
The waves are overflowing.

¹ 皡 or 皞 (hào "brilliant") is sometimes written as 嗥 (háo "holler") on computer
