Gonzalo Javier Rodríguez (born April 10, 1984 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer, currently playing in Spain for Villarreal since 2004.
He is a central defender and who started his professional career at Argentina's first division San Lorenzo in 2002, and has also played for the Argentina national football team.
On August 2006 he suffered an injury, breaking the Cruciate ligament of his right knee, for what he will be inactive for around 7 months.
