Gone to Earth was the second full-length solo album by David Sylvian and was released in 1986. It was an ambitious two-record set, which flouted convention (and perhaps commercial wisdom) by featuring one record of vocal prog rock tracks and one consisting entirely of Ambient music-New Age music tracks. Guest artists included Robert Fripp (who co-wrote several tracks) and Bill Nelson.
