This work is copyrighted and unlicensed. It does not fall into one of the blanket fair use categories listed at Wikipedia:Fair use#Images or Wikipedia:Fair use#Audio_clips. However, it is believed that the use of this work in the article "James Goldstein":
- To illustrate the object in question
- Where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information
- On the English-language Wikipedia ([1]), hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation ([2]),
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use and Wikipedia:Copyrights.
To the uploader: this tag is not a sufficient claim of fair use. You must also include the source of the work, all available copyright information, and a detailed fair use rationale.
Source of the work is from http://www.jamesfgoldstein.com. It was published in a magazine as well, I believe (text located at http://www.jamesfgoldstein.com/architecture_moderismreborn.html, but cannot tell which magazine or media source it came from). I assert fair use of the photograph because: 1. Use is non-commercial, and educational; 2. The photo is featured on the subject's web site, he presumably would have no objection to its inclusion on Wikipedia; 3. The effect of the fair use does not impact the market or potential market for the copyrighted work. The use of a non-high resolution photo on Wikipedia will not supplant the market for the magazine in which it was first displayed or decrease any demand on Mr. Goldstein's web site, which is currently non-commercial as well. --BrownHornet21 17:55, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
