Goleszów

Goleszów is a village and gmina in Cieszyn County in Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. Population: c. 4,000 (village) and 12,033 (gmina). Villages of Cisownica, Puńców, Dzięgielów, Bażanowice, Godziszów, Kisielów, Leszna Górna and Kozakowice are a part of gmina.

It was first mentioned in a written document in 1223, in 1293 a first stone church was built here. During World War II a subcamp of Auschwitz concentration camp operated here.
