Golden master

A golden master is a single copy of a reproducible product (e.g., software recorded on a medium such as CD-ROM, and usually a final version of that product) that is created for the purpose of duplication, typically for subsequent distribution of multiple copies. It represents the development stage of "RTM" or "going gold".
