"Golden Skans" is a song released by London new rave band Klaxons on January 22, 2007. It reached #16 in the UK Singles Chart on download sales on January 14 (two weeks before the release of the CD) and climbed to #14 the next week, eventually reaching #7 after the CD release. It is taken from their first album Myths of the Near Future, which was released on January 29, 2007. The song's lyrics briefly sum up the J.G. Ballard short story "Myths of the Near Future".
The video features an inventive and contemporary use of light and dark with all three band members wearing different coloured ribbons, and moving dramatically to the music.
The track was also released on French label Ed Banger Records, as a French exclusive remix EP.
