The Golden Princess is a Grand Class cruise ship for Princess Cruises that went into service in 2001. She is the sister ship of the Grand Princess and the Star Princess. She measures 109,000 gross tons and carries 2,600 passengers (Double Occupancy) plus 1,100 crew members. As of 2007, she primarily operates on the Mexican Riviera and the West Coast of the United States.

The Ship features three formal dining rooms, mini golf course (9 holes), a video arcade, a children's facility, a devoted teen center, several pools, a spa, a gym, a screening room (for recent movie releases), multiples bars, and three modern show lounges.

The ship's main restaurants, which honor Personal Choice Dining (A Princess service that allows a passenger to dine at a designated restaurant at whatever time they please), are laid out on three different decks on three different areas of the ship; 2 aft and 1 midships.

Other dining options:

The Lido Grill: A buffet style restaurant open most all day and the most casual on board.
Sabatini's: An Italian 5 course Cuisine, and one of the ship's two specialty restaurants.
Sterling Steakhouse: A traditional steakhouse.

The sizes of the rooms onboard vary based on the amount one would be willing to pay for them, but There are several standards one can observe.

[edit] Interior Rooms

Interior rooms are pretty much the same throughout the ship. Each has a private bathroom, 2 twin beds that convert to queen, small fridge, decent sized closet, and a television. Totals about 160 square feet.

Oceanview (porthole) room similar to interior room with exception of porthole window. Decent lighting, but is only found in the lower decks of the ship. Totals about 168 square feet.
Oceanview rooms are similar to the ones with portholes with the exception that windows are square instead of circular. Can be anywhere from the lower to middle decks. Totals about 168 square feet.
Oceanview (obscured) staterooms have normal windows. The only obstruction is the lifeboats that semi-cover the windows. Location is only on Emerald deck. Size of obstruction depends on location. Totals about 168 square feet.

Balcony staterooms include a balcony, and include all previously listed features. They are slightly larger given the balcony. Totals go from 214 to 257 square feet (including the balcony).

Family suites are the equivalent of two rooms connected by a living room. Includes all previously listed features with the exception of an oversized balcony. Sleeps up to 8 persons.
Mini suites include all features previously listed and an additional t.v. for a total of two, a walk in closet, and a bathroom with both tub and shower. Also includes separate sitting area with bed, desk, and sofa. About 323 square feet including balcony.
Regular suites have all previously listed features with an addition of a wet bar. Oversized balcony. Totals about 468 to 591 square feet depending on category.
