Goive is a proxy website used to bypass web filters while at school or work. This site's domain is Goive.co.nr, formerly Goive.tk.

Goive works with external proxies, meaning that it does not have one itself. This has the advantage that when a proxy is blocked, it simply finds a new one and embeds it into the page. For that reason, it cannot be categorised as a Proxy, and is unlikely to be blocked.

Goive was started in May 2006 by a Wykehamist. In September a Members Area was created.

[edit] Site traffic

Goive receives hundreds of hits everyday from a wide range of countries. Many of these are from Winchester College, but also in the UK, it receives visits from various other private schools such as Charterhouse, Eton, Marlborough, Sherbourne, Westminster and Wellington. There are also have reports that Lancaster University use it. The exact traffic statistics can be downloaded from the Goive server.
