Goffs School is a Secondary School and Sixth Form college located in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, UK and has over 1,300 students.
There are six houses in Goffs School, into which all students are sorted. Each house is named after a famous and influential person from history. The six houses are Brontë, Churchill, Columbus, Curie, Mandela and Monet.
The school motto was "Sola Virtus Invicta", (roughly translates from Latin to "virtue alone is unconquerable"), however it was recently changed to "Respect Confidence Achievement".
The school has played host to BBC presenter Jenny Scott who handed out awards at an awards evening. Bands such as Blazin' Squad, 50/50 and One:Day:Life have also performed at the school.
The 2005/06 A-level Economics class was awarded 100% A-C grades for their A-levels in the summer of 2006 with 82% of the grades being A's or B's. The class which consisted of 11 Boys were the best overall class in value added terms with many of the class predicted 2 grades lower at the start of year 12. The class taught by Mr Richard Tutt also had the best class in terms of just grades that year.
