M. Alan Kazlev is an amateur paleontologist and esotericist writer who lives in Melbourne, Australia. He has created an website called Kheper, which contains over 1500 articles by himself and others on various scientific and esoteric topics, including Theosophy, Aurobindo, and Ken Wilber. He is also a founding member and owner of the science fiction worldbuilding website Orion's Arm.

Kazlev is currently working on creating an integral theory that would recognize the importance of metaphysics in an attempt to reconcile knowledge derived from both science and mysticism.
