Godfrey Smith

Godfrey Smith is a Belizean politician and a member of the People's United Party. He became Minister of Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Emergency Management Organization in 2003. Previously he had served as Attorney General. In April 2006 he gave up the foreign and defense ministries and became minister of tourism, information and emergency management.
Smith has been publishing a column in party newspaper the Belize Times since October 2006. It has attracted a lot of controversy as its opinions differ from those Smith takes as a member of Government.
