Godagari is located at 24.4667° N 88.3306° E . It has 40011 units of house hold and total area 472.13 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Godagari has a population of 217811. Males constitute are 50.88% of the population, and females 49.12%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 108869.
