Gobichettipalayam boasts some famous tourist spots like Kodivery dam and Gunderi Pallam Dam near the periphery of forests. This place is also famous for religious attractions like Pariyur Kondathu Kaliamman Temple, Pachaimalai Balamurugan Hill Temple and Pavalamalai Muthu Kumaraswamy Hill Temple. Because of the scenic beauty and cultural richness, outdoor shooting of the film industry thrives in this area.
Because of the cultural and religious importance, people prefer Gobi for marriages of their kith and kin. People as far as from Delhi with roots in Tamilnadu, conduct their marriage rituals here. That paved the way for a strong Cook's association (Samayal Kalaignar Sangam).
