[edit] Is this software notable?

Frap has tagged this article for speedy deletion. As the article's creator, I've added the hangon tag because I think the software may be notable and I'll explain why, here... This article has been around for nearly three years and has history of edits from more than a few contributors. There doesn't appear to be any vanity of the author or inappropriate promotion of the software here. The software has been around for some time. It is licensed under the GPL, for what that's worth. It is in the "List_of_audio_trackers" article. It is built on top of another notable piece of software, the reSID engine. And it supports the unusual and notable HardSID soundcard. --Ds13 22:48, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

CSD:A7 applies only to people, groups of people, companies, or websites. This article should not have been nominated for speedy deletion. See WP:CSD and WP:SOFTWARE. --Vossanova o< 12:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Whoa -- this article is useful for me. Don't delete it. Tlogmer ( talk / contributions ) 20:39, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

I BrickViking would like to help expand the article, as I also believe it should stay. Yes, it needs expanding. One thing I have noted is that GoatTracker is one of the only non-C64 pieces of software that can create C64 music tunes (also known as SIDs) - and there aren't even very many C64 versions. I'm asking permission here before I let myself loose upon the article, given that I'm neither the program creator nor the article author. Brickviking 05:46, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I've padded the article out with several other paragraphs and references, I hope that will remove the added comments at the top of the page. It's not finished yet, but it looks considerably better than it did. Brickviking 23:41, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
