Goat Island, New Zealand
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goat Island is the name of two different islands off the New Zealand coast.
[edit] Goat Island, Auckland Region
Auckland's Goat Island is a tiny island (approximately one hectare) located close to the North Island coast northeast of Warkworth, and directly west of Hauturu/Little Barrier Island.
It forms part of the marine reserve that was officially formed in 1977, and is a popular spot for snorkelers and scuba-divers, due to the large number of fish now living there.
Takangaroa is another island in the same area which used to be known as Goat Island.
