Goans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goans is the term used to describe the people of Goa on the west coast of India. "Goanese" is considered to be incorrect usage, and offensive by some. Goans comprise a mixed Hindu, Catholic (and a growing Muslim) population. Parts of the state bear a strong Iberian influence, because of the 451 years Portuguese rule of part of the region.
