Go Team Go is the 38th episode of the TV series Kim Possible. It marks the first appearance of Shego's family, and the only time that her background is discussed anywhere in the franchise. It also marks the first and only appearance of the villain Aviarius.
[edit] Plot Sypnosis
Ron has dragged Kim to bustling Go City, in honor of the opening of the newest and most modern branch of Bueno Nacho, but things get of to an inauspicious start.
After learning that Bueno Nacho has "special procedures" written especially to deal with Ron, should he patronize the branch, first Ron is upset there are no nacos on the menu then Kim is attacked by a villain in a bird suit calling himself Aviarius. At least that's what looks like, at first. As Kim has to do the teen hero thing, the branch manager ducks out of sight, only to be replaced by a muscular stranger in a strange blue costume, with a "strangely familiar" aura about him, who enters the fray on Kim's side. As soon as he arrives on the scene it becomes clear that Kim wasn't Aviarius's target after all. Aviarius attacks the interloper with a glowing beam from his scepter, but Kim interrupts the beam and Aviarius flees.
The next day, all is not normal with Miss Possible. She seems to have acquired super strength, and she has a "strangely familiar" glow about her. Plus, the manager of the Go City Bueno Nacho is asking her about his missing superpowers. Cue Team Go.
Kim and Ron return to Go City, where they are taken to visit Go Tower, the home of the aptly named Team Go, and are introduced to "Hego", Shego's older brother who reveals the origins of Shego's powers (a rainbow colored comet that struck her tree house when she was young) and, more shockingly, that Shego was once a heroine. However he said that the more they fought evil, the more she liked it and eventually crossed over to the dark side. (Possible reference to Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars storylines)
After being introduced to Hego, Mego, and the Wego twins (who have similarly lost his powers), Kim learns that Aviarius is attempting to steal all of Team Go's powers, and heads off back to Middleton to find the one member of Team Go who still has their powers. Predictably though, Shego is less than pleased to be reunited with her family. However, after a spot of blackmail (involving Kim's website, and possibility that it could be used to spread the word that Shego was once a good girl) Shego reluctantly agrees to help defeat Aviarius, and to restore her brother's powers.
Shego: "Looks like all of my least favorite people in the world have gotten together to form a club. Why?"
Kim and Team Go travel to Aviarius's hideout and attempt to take the scepter that he used to steel Team Go's powers, but things don't go so well. After battling heat seeking robot hummingbirds, and a large mechanical flamingo, Shego and Kim both fall victim to Aviarius's power draining scepter, and lose their powers.
Possessing all 4 Team Go powers, Aviarius seems unbeatable, but a timely distraction by Ron allows Kim to knock Aviarius's scepter form his hand .... right into Shego's. Predictably, Shego isn't inclined to give hand the scepter over to Kim, or to give up her brothers their powers back. She Kim fight even though Kim is at a disadvantage with Shego using all the powers at once, something Aviarius admits to never having thought of doing.
Kim: "Shego, I thought that we were in this together?"
Shego: Oh come on, don't you know me better by now? I mean, seriously?"
Fortunately, it turns out that Ron isn't the only one who can provide a distraction. Without warning, Drakken bursts through the wall in a giant robot, under the impression that he is saving Shego from Aviarius, distracting her long enough for Kim to knock the scepter to the floor. Where it shatters, releasing Team Go's powers back to their rightful owners.
As Hego and the rest of the team are discussing reunion with Mego, as usual, trying to usurp control, all of them are discussing why Shego strayed from the good path. However Ron seems to be single mindedly focused as before on the unavailability of the Naco at Bueno Nacho in Go City. Kim however shares the Go Team's concern about Shego but notes it was a little TOO easy to knock the scepter away from her, implying she in the end could not betray her family.
In Drakken's jet, he remarks the same thing to Shego.
Shego: Are you saying I'm going soft?
Drakken: (smugly) As a marshmallow.
Shego responds by hanging him outside the jet.
