Category talk:GNU/Linux users
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I suppose I need to explain why we need two different categories for Linux users: GNU is not Linux, although most Linux-based operating systems use GNU. It is possible to have an OS using only Linux but not GNU. Plus, some users (like the creator of this page) would never accept to say that they use a "Linux OS" since they actually use a "GNU/Linux OS". You should understand however that a GNU/Linux user is still a Linux user, as well as a GNU user. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wikinerd (talk • contribs).
