Gnomeregan

Gnomeregan is a World Dungeon or Instance for the online MMORPG World of WarCraft.

Gnomeregan, dug deep into the west hills of Dun Morogh (Alliance Territory), was once noted as the “wondrous techno-city”, designing most Dwarven weapons and steam powered vehicles. A Trogg invasion coinciding with the Third War kept the gnomes from providing initial support against the Burning Legion. With no support, the clever Gnomes even attempted to poison their own city, venting highly radioactive waste systems onto the Troggs. The irradiated infestation was unrelenting, and drove the homeless Gnomes to the consolidated home of the Dwarves, Ironforge, during the Third War. Engineering more powerful tools and weaponry to support the Alliance, they plotted to one day take back their beloved city. However, their now irradiated foes would prove to be a different battle entirely. Engineering requiring items are sometimes dropped, such as the Security DELTA data access card (requires engineering level one).

- Alliance: West Dun Morogh is the main entrance to Gnomeregan.
- Horde: Booty Bay - Outside the Salty Sailor Inn. Quest available at level 25 from Sovik in Orgrimmar. Engineering Supplier named Chief Engineer Scooty. Chief Engineer Scooty (quest: Gnomer-gooooone!) will give the transponder to the Horde to use on the teleport pad to teleport into Gnomeregan. Note: Alliance were able to complete these quests until patch 1.4.
