4th/Sep changes:removed "the initiation of" because arguable synthesis begins with formation of glucose to G6P (which then becomes G1P then UDP-glucose and only then glycogen) Unsure yet how to reference, but used "Lehinger Principles of Biochemistry", David L Nelson and Michael M. Cox, 4th Ed., Ch15 ShaiM 11:32, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
