I added a date of birth, Feb. 15, 1970, but then I came across this, apparently a direct quote, in which she says Jan. 15, 1968. So I'm removing the first date. But problem is, the second date can be found nowhere else on Google, so I suppose the paper could've gotten the quote wrong or something. Anybody got any light to shed on the subject? Hey, somebody has added back that date of birth. Well, I don't know which is right. Personally I'd rather err on the side of caution. Everyking 07:35, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright issue

I DID NOT COPY this article and paste it here. Everyone that knows me knows Im a hard, honest worker. I tried to go to the possible copyright violations list page and the article wasnt listed. Can someone please take out the big C- posted in the article? Remember, a lot of websites copy from us. The one that the user says I took it from, actually says the article is borrowed from Wikimedia!.

Thanks and God bless you! Sincerely yours, Antonio Diana Taurasi Martin

That's true, I totally missed the line giving credit to the Wiki. Since I am the one who called for a copyvio revision, I'll restore the article and rm from the list. Ruiz 15:22, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

Whoever wrote this article needs a serious refresher course, or maybe even a primary course, in spelling, English grammar and syntax, and punctuation. The article on Gloria Trevi is rife with errors in every one of these categories. One example is the use of "stand point" where "stand" is wanted. Another is the following sentence: "At that point of her career, it became common for many little girls and teenaged females to dress like Gloria's concert attire." People dress like other people, not like their attire. Better to have written something such as: "At that point in her career, her concert attire was being adopted by many young girls." In addition, a course in basic Spanish for the article's author wouldn't hurt either: Since when does "Zapatos Viejos" (translated extensively elsewhere as "Old Shoes") mean "MY Old shoes"? And "Boquitas Pintadas" is clearly better translated as "Little Painted Mouths," meaning mouths painted with lipstick. I've read many Wikipedia articles, and most have been well written. This article is a near-illiterate exception.

[edit] gloria's mother

i read on your article that you said that Gloria did not have money or food when she was a child actually her mother was born very rich and after couple divorces she has became even more richer and she left her home because she want to study music at age 15 not twelve at that age is when they met Andrade in televisa

[edit] Pregnancy

From what I remember, the pregancy scandal was that Andrade and Trevi were prisoners at the time of conception, wasn't it? The article should make clear when they were imprisoned and when the boy was born.

[edit] alleged child molester and slave master.

the also controversial manager Sergio Andrade, alleged child molester and slave master.

Was Andrade already accused when he first met Gloria? If not, the text should be edited.

[edit] Sergio Andrade

What has happened to him-is he free also? Tommypowell 16:44, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

The article was full of indirect and subtle jabs at Trevi that were a clear sign of NPOV. I tried to do a general clean-up on it and eliminated some unnecessary lines. However, some more might be necessary. This article deserves more attention. Thief12 14:02, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
