[edit] Removal of material
I've substantially redacted material from the article. Most of what I removed was promotional sentences or sections, and non-encyclopedic information (such as the "Values" and "Mission" sections). Wikipedia isn't for promotion or for hosting "profiles", so having articles that read like such goes contrary to the project's goals.
The article still needs more editing though. There's a substantial amount of POV language remaining and it has no references beyond the org's own site. Without reference to sources that are independent of the org, the article is likely to be deleted (rightly or wrongly) due to a lack of evidence of being notable. An article cannot stand on references to self-published sources alone—they must be externally corroborated. — Saxifrage ✎ 22:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've done a bit more and looked around for references, but can't find much. I'll read though the SBR article when I can get to the library. There's a piece in the Washington Post about the org. The content is entirely unquestioning, so not much good in terms of verifying much - I'm working on how it can help build the article. But might at least help with notability - which is almost entirely lacking. --Siobhan Hansa 03:31, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
