Himalayan Pit Viper Gloydius himalayanus is a species of snake found in Pakistan (Chitral, Murree (= Marri)), India (Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh) and parts of W/C Nepal. Type locality: Garhwal, Himalaya, elevation 9000 ft. [Uttar Pradesh = Uttaranchal, India, 2743 m].
