"Glorious Brilliance" is the 8th episode of the anime series Eureka Seven.

As the episode opens, a thrilled Renton examines the latest issue of ray=out—a photograph of him taken during the hoax "mission" from the last episode had made the cover. Eureka invites him on a shopping run with her children, and later the adult crew members discuss a job on the bridge.

As Renton, Eureka, and the children near the end of their shopping trip, Maeter teases Renton and runs off, getting separated from the others as Linck teases Renton further. After a frantic search, they discover that she is in a woman's apartment. Eureka asks Renton how to scold her, and does exactly what he says, slapping Maeter. The woman invites them in for tea, as other Gekkostate members take up positions in the city.

As Renton and the others are about to have some tea, the door is kicked in and a (dud) grenade is thrown into the room. Matthieu and Holland then barge in, guns drawn. Gekkostate had been offered a job—ironically, by the military—to capture the woman, a Vodarek disciple and leader named Tiptree, regarded by the military as a terrorist. What Gekkostate did not take into account, however, was Tiptree's infuriating and surprising physical and tactical prowess. It would take nearly all of Gekkostate's LFOs and a large crate to capture the elusive woman.

Even more inconceivable to Renton than the actual capture, however, was that Tiptree invited them all over for dinner until the military arrived. While he keeps watch over Tiptree in the kitchen, she replies that because of the will of Vodarek, she was destined to be captured by them. Holland, after switching with Renton, quietly asks her where he could find a man named Norb.

Holland and Matthieu bring Tiptree to the rendezvous area, and accept the bounty from the UF military. However, in a dramatic confidence trick, he signals Renton, Eureka, and the Nirvash, who snatch Tiptree before the military could touch her. KLFs try to give chase, but the Gekko downs their carrier with a shot from her laser cannon.

Holland offers to take Tiptree to anywhere she wanted, and she chooses Ciudades del Cielo. In an impromptu meeting on the bridge, Holland and the other adults discuss changes that are sweeping across the UF military. That night, Eureka finds that she has a headache.
