[edit] Corporate overview

Gloria Jean's Coffees restaurants are found in 25 countries and territories around the world. They have over 635 coffee houses and serve nearly 8.5 million customers each day.

The Gloria Jean's Coffees business model is similar to most fast-food chains in that they have to pay franchise fees and supplies. Each Gloria Jean’s Coffees store is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee. In 2005 Gloria Jean’s Coffees was awarded 2005 Australian Franchisor of the Year (Franchise Council of Australia).

The core product and sales mix vary greatly between the US market and others. In America, the franchise sells a variety of flavoured coffee beans and products, whereas in Australia, Gloria Jean’s Coffees are renown for their hand crafted signature hot and cold coffee drinks, traditional espresso drinks, a range of single origins, blends and whole bean coffees and specialty teas, and also pastries and coffee accessories.
