[edit] History

After 15 years of success in the music industry, Gloria Estefan finally released a Greatest hits album that includes her successful hits made throughout her earlier career. This album became Gloria best selling album since Let it Loose. The album has been certified 4x Platinum for selling 4 million copies in USA, but as of spring 2001 the album has been sold 5.5 millions copies worldwide.

Like most compilations, successful previously released singles were included:

“Dr. Beat” the first single-ever released by the Miami Sound Machine From Eyes of Innocence was included, but on the non-American versions.

Conga” and “Words Get in the Way” from Primitive Love were also included. The remix single of “Bad Boy” was only included on the non-American version.

From the album Let it Loose, “Cant’ Stay Away from You”, “1-2-3”, “Rhythm is Gonna Get You” and “Anything for You” were included.

The tracks selected from Gloria’s first solo album were: “Here we Are”, “Get on Your Feet”, & “Don’t Wanna lose You”. On the Australian versions of the album, the song “Cuts Both Ways” was included.

Coming Out of the Dark” was the only song included from Into the Light.

Several new tracks were also included such as: “Always Tomorrow” which was the first single from the album, “Go Away”, an internationally (mostly Europe) successful dance anthem, “Christmas Through your Eyes”, Gloria's first Christmas single release, “I See your Smile” and the exclusive non-American “Megamix” or “Miami Hitmix” as was named on the UK versions of the album.
