Hi again. (See below for previous "hi".) My name is Liz. I've been a writer since I was about ten years old, and a paid (!!) writer for more than 15 years. (I'm not saying how many more.) Most of my professional (paid) experience has been in the Information Technology arena, but I've written all kinds of other stuff. Maybe I'll post a resume here at some point.
Anyway, I'm new to the world of WP writing and editing. My very first contribution was a minor correction to an article about Mound Minnesota (my home town), made on July 1, 2006. Now I'm working on my first article for WP, and I'm learning a LOT; so much that I wonder if I'll ever finish the stupid article.
[edit] My Writing Style
As you'll see if you check out my material, my writing style/tone varies according to the venue.
- When I'm writing something for the business world, I normally write in a semi-formal tone. I'm not as formal as a WP article because I need to be as clear and concise as possible. So if I'm working on, for example, a user manual, I would say

- You can't change anything on the Help screen.
-
- not: One cannot make changes to the Help screen.
- When I'm writing for WP I try to follow the guidelines.
- And when I'm writing here on my page or posting a question or comment somewhere or sending a friend an email or etc. etc. etc. my style ranges from informal to downright silly LOL ROTFLMAO!! :-)
