I'm curious as to why high school bands are singled out. It would seem that all bands would use glide step. - Akonas 05:09, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Not always. My school marching band did, but we didn't use special shoes for it. At some band festivals, however, I've seen other techniques too. Prometheus-X303- 22:59, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Actually, some bands use high-stepping or kick-stepping for their marching technique. Marching Spartans (our HS) use roll-step, but I've seen one or two bands use the high-stepping technique.24.91.27.207 00:17, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
