I was a SHIPpie before they changed the name to Ignite, and there were rumours at the school back then that the program used to be called Students with High Intellectual Talent (instead of Potential) Sensei baka 02:20, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

from sven the llama i think this artice is quite wrong. Has anybody thought of mentioning all of the stupid rules that people make that limit the freedom of the students? Perhaps somebody should mention that, a more honest, and less biased view would be preferable.

Thats not really appropriate - and the article is hardly biased; its supposed to be an encylopedic entry so all the stupid rules, whilst very real and very annoying dont really have a place. Immanuel goldstein

I recently placed a point of view check flag in this article as it seems to be advertising the school by metioning new facilities at the school. Also, by mentioning student life activities avaliable, this is further advertising. Seeing as these extra-curricular activites are not run by the school, but rather persons within the school, and thus I do not believe that this can be attributed to the school. Generally taking the stance of this school being good where it cannot be proved is also biased. To counteract this issue of baseless advertising, information on the Open Day and other events should be provided on this page (merely providing a link to the school website does not, in my opinion, suffice). Remember folks, this be an open encyclopedia, and it takes trust to not have to protect against advertising abuses.--Tspshilt 12:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I am indeed a student at the school, so while, to be fair, this leaves my point of view biased, This does not make it justifiable of all authors to be intentionally biasd. I have registered as it is a point in saying that flying abuse without being at least slightly traceable is also unfair (and underhanded). but, this is an open content encyclopedia and anyone who has the internet (mostly) is able to view it, so it seems only fair to have my input in a community in which i belong.--Tspshilt 12:26, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Personally I appreciate your honesty. Declaring your point of view is great and not a barrier to editing wiki at all (we all have biases, being open about them is the issue!). I also appreciate and admire your view on the quasi vandalism that takes place. So for me - trying to stand back - leave it as it is for now but think about it. Is there other information about your school that should be there and is the network bit overly long? (& are there other things you could contribute to?) I think the articles fine; mentioning the other activities run within the school is completely justified. As for it being advertising for the school, thats totally ridicolous - which parts would you remove? The only bits that dont have a place are things like "network issues" and "new lockers". I agree with beneaththelandslide. This school has many problems and Mr Knight has a history of poor funding decisions, such as advertising that the proceeds from a fundraiser would help fix the toilet, yet the money instead going to new LCD screens placed above several walkways that have spent most of the year inactive. Maybe this wasn't his personal decision, but the school has made many poor choices in recent years, yet this artical seems to be incredibly in favour of the school.Darkcraft 02:50, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I have many a suggestion for this page, but for which I do not have exact information, or am rather not willing to add, as i have already flodded this page with edits, mainly as a cause of rethinking what to write. 1. Disclose staff numbers too, as teachers do make a difference. (edit: Faculty may also refer to staff number, my mistake, tspshilt). 2. School opening hours, for enquiries and access times. 3. All good ideas - but seriously tspshilt you dont need to write about all other schools in the area - its probably part of the relevant category. Thats like saying you can't write about one public library without writing about all the other libraries. User:Immanuel_Goldstein

edited the Network issues section to be more accurate and provide more information. Added 2005 issues to the subject, and nformation of what had happened. Moved and edited the line in the 2006 area about "HALO demo" to 2005 area, as that was the year when it occured the most. in fact I do not think the "HALO demo" was installed ever in 2006, as the switch from novell to windows (or microsoft), and the soonafter switch to BESS, both dissallowed unauthorised EXEs to be run. I ask you, ever so politely, in the sweet, peaceful tone of the Virgin Mary, would you mention the playing of computer games on the University of Oxford (not that I'm comparing Glenunga to Oxford) page if some of their dropkicks were playing them?
