There is an awful reference in the Up with People article claiming that she was a former member. Is this awful awful claim true? If not, this slander should be removed.

  • A biography by Andrew Ritchie at http://www.thespiannet.com/actresses/C/close_glenn/index.shtml states that her parents had joined the Moral Re-Armament society. She joined UWP, then left because she "found it to be too trite for her liking". If someone wants to edit that factoid into her wikipedia bio, I suggest you counterbalance it with her records of Democratic campaign contributions [1]. Jutta 04:35, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Glen Close's father as personal physician to President Mobutu Sese Seko

I've edited the section on Glen Close's background to include the fact her father, Dr. William Close, attended to President Mobutu Sese Seko in the capacity of a personal physician. I lack the technical capability, however, to include the reference substantiating this fact. It is my hope that if I include the reference in this discussion, an individual with technical savvy may append it. The reference is: GARRETT, LAURIE 1994 The Coming Plague: Newly Emerging Diseases in a World Out of Balance (Toronto: Penguin Group)- specifically chapter five. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.39.33.74 (talk) 04:28, 13 March 2007 (UTC).
