[edit] Magic Mountain
Whatever happened to Magic Mountain? When I lived in Adelaide circa '95, plans were afoot to pull Magic Mountain down for apartments. I guess it's gone by now? Is information on it worth including here in the article? It was quite a fun and unique amusement park for it's day. -- Longhair | Talk 14:13, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, it's been gone for nearly a year http://www.abc.net.au/adelaide/stories/s1156154.htm --ScottDavis 14:21, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
How's this for an old photo: Magic Mountain's very demolition.--Cyberjunkie | Talk 17:14, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] palindromicness
I'd love to mention the fact that Glenelg is one of the rare few palindromic place names in the world, but there isn't a home for that tidbit just yet. But don't forget it! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stevage (talk • contribs).
[edit] Expanding History
I added the Expansion Request tag because Glenelg is a very historical suburb for Adelaide, and I'm sure there's heaps I've missed out. Any additions would be appreciated. Cheers. --AtD 14:21, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ferris Wheel
In reply to this edit, it was apparently published in the local Messenger newspaper earlier this month that the wheel will be up before Christmas. I have not yet found a copy of the article myself, but it was discussed here on a web forum. I realise that this is not an appropriate source for Wikipedia, but I hope to have my hands on the article shortly, or at least before the wheel is supposed to be up. --AtD 16:18, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] requested review
Looking through the article the section on the Jetty has an opening confusing statement "In August 1857, Construction of Glenelg's first jetty commenced, and was opened on ANZAC Day, 1859." ANZAC Day wasnt created until about 60 years later, I'd suggest that you use 25th April say something like "this day later became known as ANZAC Day", continue on with any official association between the two. more to follow Gnangarra 11:13, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
"Glenelg was the site of the Beaumont children disappearance in 1966." expand to a paragraph. Gnangarra
