Glenwood, New South Wales

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glenwood is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in the Hills District, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Despite being in the Blacktown council region it is still a tolerable place to live. It is considered to be "Gateway to the Hills District" because it is so close to Norwest, Kellyville and Baulkham Hills, yet is close to Blacktown.

The suburb takes its name from an historic property in the area, named Glenwood Park in the 1940s, but previously known as Norfolk Vale (1846 - 1882), and Sorrento (1882 - 1941). It was formally recognised as a suburb in 1996.

Surrounding suburbs include Kellyville, Kings Langley, Bella Vista and Stanhope Gardens.
