Glass Pack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Glass Pack is a silencer (muffler in USA) of a car that is filled with a candy floss like mass of glass fibres rather than the usual metal baffles. The result is less back pressure in the exhaust system which results in more power from the engine. They gained popular use in the 1960's due to the unique exhaust sound that was produced, and are still commonly used in the southern region of the United States.
