Some see "Glasgow Mega-Snake" as a return to the heavier sounds of 1997's Young Team. Soon after Mr. Beast was released, "Glasgow Mega-Snake" became a live favorite.

It begins with a fuzzy, distorted minor key guitar riff which launches into the most straightforward rock song Mogwai have ever released.

- It originally had the working title of "Glower of a Cat".
