Glasgow Hornets

The Glasgow Hornets is a American Flag Football Club. The club runs all 4 age levels, cadet (7-13), junior (13-15), youth (15-18) and senior (18+). The club was founded in March 2002, and since then has flourished, winning their 1st tournament in Sep 2002, and in 2006 the cadets won the West/Central Conference and the Scottish Championship. Flag Football is a non-contact version of American Football, developed by the NFL, to encourage young players to take up the sport. It also reassures parents who may be concerned about the contact aspect of American Football. The game is played 5 a side and teaches the fundamentals of American Football at grassroots level. The Glasgow Hornets is led by Coach Andrew Chapman with the assistance of Yvonne Chapman. There is a number of coaches within the team. Training Starts at 12PM at the East End Healthy Living Centre at Crownpoint Road, Calton, Glasgow.
