Glandore (Irish: Cuan Dor, meaning harbour of the oaks) is a village in the south-west of Ireland. Glandore is located about an hour's drive west of Cork city. Due to its location, Glandore was one of the earlier settlements in the area. In 1215, the Normans built two castles here. The village has several pubs, serving beer, food, and traditional music. Famous homeowners include Carol Vorderman and her journalist partner Des Kelly and Tony O'Reilly. The village yacht club's unofficial headquarters is in the Glandore Inn.
