Gladstone Airport (IATA: GLT, ICAO: YGLA) is located in the western suburbs of Gladstone, Queensland, Australia about 6km (8 minute drive) from the centre of the city.
The main supplier of scheduled passenger air services is QantasLink a subsidiary of Qantas, a oneworld alliance member. Most services are non-stop to or from Brisbane Airport.
In February 2007, QantasLink was scheduled to operate about 45 return services per week (ie about 90 aircraft movements) between Gladstone and Brisbane using Dash 8 aircraft with seating from 36 to 72 passengers. In addition, a small number of direct flights operate to the north with the destinations of Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns as well as the odd service to or from Bundaberg in the south.
The airport is owned and operated by the Gladstone-Calliope Aerodrome Board which is a statutory body created by the Government of Queensland. The Board is made up of equal representatives appointed by each of the Gladstone City Council and the Calliope Shire Council.
