Gladestry

Gladestry is a small village in Powys, mid Wales, close to the border with England. Population is 150-200 (Est). It's about 3 miles off the A44, the main trunk road from Hereford to Rhayader. Gladestry is about 6 miles from the small town of Kington, Herefordshire. The village is part of a thriving farming community. The village entails a Church, the Royal Oak pub, a small shop, a school which accommodates arond 50-60 children and a village hall. The village offers very little with regards to tourism. It's main income is from farming and a local quarry a few miles away.
