Glabrous

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In botany and mycology, glabrous is used to describe a morphological feature as smooth or having no hair or similar growth (see indumentum).

In medicine, "glabrous" skin is used to describe the hairless skin on the human body, such as the fingers, palmar surfaces of hands, soles of feet, lips, and penises.

Tactile sensitivity is greatest on glabrous skin.
