*The GL8 Locomotives were built by the Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) in the 50's on export series
- These are light locomotives for light weight per axle lines
- They are equipped with flexcoil trucks on B-B or A-1-A configurations
- In Brazil these locomotives were bought by these Railroads
- Equipped with the 567 EMD motor 8-cylinder version
- Have 875 Hp of effective effort traction
