[edit] Comments

Would you like to try playing this out at say, Wikipedia:Sandbox/Game of Go, then this will be part of the main Wikigames taxonomy, as its declared in the sandbox header (or about to when I complete everything) and such. -- Natalinasmpf 22:41, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

Don't mind me, I'm observing. :) -Hmib 02:24, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

Ahh, that is no problem. Maybe you want to play a game aswell (I'm starting to sound as Joshua from Wargames) Gkhan 11:59, May 11, 2005 (UTC)
No thanks, I'm pretty busy and my weiqi skill is mediocre at best. :) -Hmib 16:00, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

Move 15 made me sit up for a while, before then, it was idyllic playing. Now I can see the heat forming. ;-) -- Natalinasmpf 01:26, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

Heat indeed..... :D Gkhan 12:42, May 12, 2005 (UTC)

Aloha.--AI 02:12, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

Hmm, would YOU be up for a colloborative game at the public games of Go? Can be a new game if you'd like. :-) -- Natalinasmpf 03:19, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

Too bad this is not real-time... a bit tedious 'watching' it out of sync. -Hmib 21:35, 13 May 2005 (UTC)

But its also more convenient that way. And carved in stone. And look what I'm about to do with my chain reaction attacks. ;-) -- Natalinasmpf 12:07, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

It took me a while to 'trace' your chain attacks... -Hmib 02:46, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

Ahh, bloody hell, you gonna get eyes and a big chunk of the left side! Gkhan 16:55, May 15, 2005 (UTC)

I'd like to announce the first capture of the game, after 38 moves. ;-) -- Natalinasmpf 17:36, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

I took the liberty of slightly altering your stone-images to use as counters for captures. I't doesn't look great with the background but that's the only way I figure that the white ones will look ok. Gkhan 17:59, May 15, 2005 (UTC)

We didn't agree on scoring rules before we began, but I assume that we use the (Japanese is it?) method: score = surrounded territory - prisoners taken? Gkhan 19:59, May 15, 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, I agree. -- Natalinasmpf 20:31, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

Natalina, you're playing white, right? -Hmib 00:50, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Yep. -- Natalinasmpf 01:25, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
It's nice that someone else is watching isn't it :D Gkhan 13:52, May 16, 2005 (UTC)

Anyone want a game? Evercat 22:27, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Sure I'm up for it, I'll probably be beat to a pulp, but what the heck! Gkhan 01:10, May 17, 2005 (UTC)

At move pair 55 black has already won the game. The rest is just mopping up. I played Go thousands of times in the 70's but had to give it up to "get a life". It is the best game ever invented by the mind of man. It is positively addictive! 4.250.201.173 17:00, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

Oh who says? You will see. I still have a capture profit after this. :p -- Natalinasmpf 17:20, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
I appriciate you saying so, me being black and all, but it aint necessarily true. There is still alot of territory up for grabs, it still an open game. Gkhan 17:37, May 17, 2005 (UTC)
They want to enjoy the game, not crunch numbers! Besides, there's no such thing as a 'gone case'. -Hmib 22:10, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

I just realised that none of my groups actually have eyes! Well, not counting the eyes that would appear if I played g9 that is.... Gkhan 23:44, May 17, 2005 (UTC)

Why didn't you then? :) -Hmib 00:04, 18 May 2005 (UTC)
It would be a waste of a move (or a gote-move, as they say). I didn't have to, it's dead anyway, it's nothing my opponent can do about it. The only reason I might should have played it is that it's a ko-threat, but i feel the loss of momentum would be worse. Gkhan 00:19, May 18, 2005 (UTC)

The move-list is getting pretty long now :P gkhan 00:10, May 26, 2005 (UTC)

Wait until we get 361 moves. :p -- Natalinasmpf 00:14, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
Haven't checked back in a while, nice developments. -Hmib 01:06, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

Is it possible for me to revert to move 142 - out of the different order the moves I considered but forgot to play one priority above the other out of haste? Thanks. -- Natalinasmpf 23:41, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

Sure, although I honestly do not think it will matter, i think you are dead either way. gkhan 23:44, May 26, 2005 (UTC)
Ahh, crap, can I revert now? A little to fast making that move.... gkhan 00:09, May 27, 2005 (UTC)
Well, okay, I'm obliged to do so ;-). -- Natalinasmpf 00:11, 27 May 2005 (UTC)

I made the board a little bigger, I hope you don't mind. I think it looks nicer that way. gkhan 16:05, May 27, 2005 (UTC)

I'm going away for a few days abroad, and after that I am going to move to a new apartment. This means that I will be unable to do anything on wikipedia for something like 1 to 3 weeks. I hope this mid-game intermission is acceptable? gkhan 16:47, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)

Of course, good luck in your proceedings. :-) -- Natalinasmpf 10:49, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Have been not editing for a few days, sorry for the delay. It's on now! gkhan July 1, 2005 10:16 (UTC)

It's been so long. I nearly forgot what I had planned to do. -- Natalinasmpf 1 July 2005 12:42 (UTC)

I know what you mean :P gkhan July 2, 2005 12:54 (UTC)

I wana play too! :P
