Philosopher Giuseppe Tarantino (1857-1950), Rector at the University of Pisa, Italy, helped introduce American and European philosophy to the Italian educational system. Tarantino was mostly forgotten after his death, until a collection of his writings on philosophy and pedagogy was published by Levante in 1995.
