Giuseppe Occhialini (b. December 5, 1907 in Fossombrone, Pesaro, Italy; d. December 30, 1993) , Italian physicist, contributed to the discovery of the pion or pi-meson decay in 1947, with César Lattes and Cecil Frank Powell (Nobel Prize for Physics)
