[edit] Confusion

What do Lynx and Lamb Gaede have to do with Girl Authority? Can someone enlighten me for a sec? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.241.58.253 (talk) 14:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Noteworthy?

Doesn't wikipedia have a policy that music artists must have at least 2 albums or have achieved a certain amount of popularity? This is a rather new act and they seem to be somewhat obscure, so I don't see why they deserve their own encyclopedia article already. Anyone second my suggestion to delete? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.241.58.253 (talk) 14:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC).

No, the article should NOT be deleted. Although Girl Authority don't have a second album, here are a few reasons why the article should not be deleted, according to WP MUSIC:

It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable.. The band were written up in The Boston Globe, Billboard.com, etc.

Has had a charted hit on any national music chart. The group's album did land on Billboard's top 200.

Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable). Although they haven't released a second album, the band are signed to Zoe Records, a notable record label with other notable musicians.

Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show. The group did a theme song for Club Libby Lu, a national chain of stores for young girls.

And secondly, there are plenty of musicians here that have recorded one album, yet they are notable, such as Cassie, who only released one album so far in her career. Girl Authority have already reached notability status, as far as I'm concerned. MeMyselfAndI 5:47 December 28, 2006 (UTC)

What does Hitler have to do with this? 24.63.3.115 22:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Nothing. Lynx and Lamb Gaede were linked to this article, too. It's nothing but pure vandalism. 24.58.4.129 December 30, 2006 2:17 (UTC)
