Girry

Girry is a main character of High Rhulain by Brian Jaques, of the Redwall series. He is a squirrel who has lived within Redwall for an unspecified length of time (possibly his entire life). During the course of the story, he discovers a penchant for academic work (while researching Green Isle in the Redwall Library) and eventually becomes the Redwall Recorder.

Girry (mammal)

An unpredictable and veracious animal originating from the North Eastern uplands of the UK. Small and agile in stature with fearsome howl more often than not much worse than its bite. Feeds mainly on scraps foraged in-and-around residential bins but in well known for an insatiable appetite for cold pizza.

This animal should only be approached with extreme caution, especially if seen to be tired and hungry, has also been known to snap quite unprovoked in the morning. Do not attempt to engage in a physical battle of any kind as a Girry knows no boundaries and has proved a persistent pest which can deliver a swift if not slightly under-hand attack.

"To be girried" – to be pestered and annoyed beyond reasonable belief often resulting in the need for retribution and physical harm. Those that have been Girried rarely forget the experience and many "Girree’s" spend time and effort plotting revenge.

"Girryism" - Blatant bullying resulting from ignorance, poor upbringing and alcoholism. Girryists hang together in packs, preying on poor innocent victims usually late at night or very early in the morning. A Girryist can be at their peak of girryism actions on New Years Day
