[edit] Biography

In 2000, Antoine and Lio started to record their songs on their Dream Machine (an 8 track-recorder). A couple of months later they call their own brothers and two other friends in order to form a band and thus play live.

In the meantime some demos to promoters, magazines and record labels and, to their great surprise, answers began to regularly come back to them , their songwriting and stage presence don't seem to leave many people indifferent. In May 2002 they joined the stable of 62 TV Records (Flexa Lyndo, Venus, M.Ward, Johnwayneshotme, Papas Fritas, ao)

Afterwards, they spent the summer writing new songs and recording on a mobile multi-track recorder in various country houses. The French music magazine "Magic" wrote about their first demo: "Simplicity, efficiency and accuracy close to perfection, lots of ideas, "their music reminds us of Grandaddy, Blonde Redhead and even dEUS".

In November 2002 they won Studio Brussel´s Demopoll (demo contest, chosen amongst hundreds of bands and elected number one by studio brussels listeners (national alternative radio) .

Their very first release of is "Found in the Ground - The Winter EP". Some already say they are the latest Belgian pop sensation. Their "Found In the Ground" as an opening song, a ballad they have already been tested live thanks to their several (but always well picked) stage appearances, just to remind you : The Nuits du Botanique in Brussels, Dead Man Ray's after show at the Ancienne Belgique, their very first Parisian gig during the "Festival Des Inaperçus" and soon the Domino Festival in Brussels.

In November 2003, the band released their first LP, "From Here To There". It received great reviews across Europe where the band started touring, starting with Belgium (where they sold out the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, playing with fellow bands Ghinzu and Sharko in January 2004)and France, then heading for Italy, Germany and Spain. The record has also been released in Japan and in October 2005, the new record company China Shop released it in the United States. The band started a mini tour of the US West Coast in April 2006 (after they played a couple of gigs in NYC in September 2005). In the meantime, the Girls are working on a new album in their home studio in Brussels due to be released in 2007.
