Girlfriend ('N Sync song)

Girlfriend (feat. Nelly) is one of a few of 'N Sync's hip-hop influenced songs. Released in 2002, it was the third single from the album Celebrity. It peaked at #5 in the US and #2 in the UK. The song is produced by The Neptunes.
As of May 2006, a lawsuit has been filed against 'N Sync, Nelly and The Neptunes for Copyright Infringement. It is alleged that the song infringes on a song by TRB called "Be My Girlfriend". The lawsuit was filed by Ben Freeman.[citation needed]
