"Girl Talk" is an R&B-hip hop song written by Lisa Lopes, Anita McLoud, Edmund "Eddie Hustle" Clement, Kandi Burruss, Tionne Watkins for TLC's fourth album, 3D (2002). It featured a short phrase by 2Pac at the beginning of Lopez's rap. It was produced by Hustle and released as the album's lead single in North America in October 2002 (see 2002 in music) and worldwide in December 2002. While "Girl Talk" became a moderate success in the United States with a peak position of number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 only, the song reached the top ten in Taiwan, and Japan, and the top twenty in Denmark, and New Zealand.
