In List of aikidoka, Giorgio Oscari is mentioned as "one of the top names in Takemusu Aikido" in Europe but since the link is red, no explanation is given to what this organisation is. This article mentions FESIKeDA, but does not explain that either. An explanation of these concepts would be great. // Habj 22:17, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Ok... "Takemusu Aikido" is a specific way to describe the Aikido from the Iwama style. It is supposed to mean "creative form of the martial art"... i.e. a style which allows the practicioner to basically create new forms from a set of basic elements (see: http://www.takemusu.org/taa_about.html). On top of this, it is used as part of the name of an Aikido Organization called Takemusu Aikido International (T.A.I. see http://www.aikidotakemusu.com/) counting among its members both Giorgio Oscari and Philippe Voarino. To properly discuss this more in detail would probably require a complete history of what happened to people studying Iwama Ryu before and after Saito's death, and its probably both a bit controversial and not exactly something that people not studying Aikido may care to know.

FESIKeDA stands for Federazione Educativa Sportiva Italiana Karate e Discipline Associate (http://www.fesik.org) i.e. "Italian Educational Sport Federation for Karate and Associated Disciplines". I do intend adding an entry for FESIKeDA (I am a member, I do study aikido and I am just back from a Giorgio Oscari's seminar) but did lack the time to do that properly. About Takemusu... not sure if it is mentioned already in the "Iwama Ryu" section... may have to do a little bit of research to create a specific entry.
